"To be Detained by the Poet"

By: Shekara T. B.

Spring has returned after a bitter cold.

Spring has come again to paint a picture of beauty,

To create the joy of love.

The sweet sound of the cuckoo on the mango shoot

The dry leaf falls and the leaf sprouts.

The crescent moon in the moon's cradle

The scent of flowers in the breeze

Sweet memory of last spring

The melody of love that arose in the

heart

The endless clear sky is a mass of colorful flowers

The fragrance of the fragrant, sweet-smelling flowers of the honge tree is indescribable.

Nature adorned like a bride adorned with flowers

Fell in love with spring's beauty.

To be detained by the poet.
