Obra Maestra - Today's Brilliant Contemporary and Modern Artist for Literature: Madame Oana Noorani

Madame Oana Ileana Noorani is not simply a poet; she is a fearless explorer of the intricate tapestry of science and the soul. Since 2022, Oana has been breaking conventional boundaries, forging a new literary realm she calls *scientific prose poetry*. Her words form a lyrical bridge between the rigor of scientific theories and the boundless imagination of the human spirit—a fusion that both challenges and captivates.

Oana’s creative odyssey began with her concept of prose poetry that celebrates the beauty of scientific truths. Yet, her artistry does not stop there. Recognizing the universal human yearning for stories, she began weaving elements of science fiction into her works, creating vibrant characters inspired by the mythologies of diverse cultures. These characters breathe life into her poetry, embodying the delicate balance between scientific truths and the soulful whispers of human existence.

Her works, including the “OH” series, published by Ediciones KUELAP in Peru, reveal the depths of her passion and intellect. Oana’s poetry is designed to expand the mind and warm the heart, often encouraging readers to reflect on profound existential questions. The first three volumes—“OH,” “OH, yes!,” and “Oh, yes, love!”—form a trilogy of revelations, blending scientific inquiry with reflections on spirituality, psychology, and philosophy. Her poems feel deeply personal, as if they reach out to cradle the reader’s soul, offering both solace and challenge.

Oana’s unique touch is found in her ability to incorporate voices beyond her own into her works. Friends and family are invited into her poetic realm through quotations, proverbs, and even contributed verses, fostering a sense of connection and colloquial warmth. This inclusivity creates a shared dialogue between writer and reader, making her poetry a living, breathing conversation.

One of Oana’s standout works, *The Fall of the Mask*, exemplifies her commitment to humanity's betterment. With fragments of her sister Emilia Simăn’s writings interwoven, the poem acts as a clarion call to preserve moral values in a world increasingly detached from excellence. It is her anthem of love—love not as a fleeting emotion, but as a supreme truth capable of restoring balance to a spiraling world. Her message resonates deeply: “The Universe is with you!”

Through every stanza, every story, and every character, Oana’s poetry transcends borders and disciplines. It seeks to remind readers of the interconnectedness of all things—the scientific and the spiritual, the cosmic and the intimate. Her words do not merely inform; they inspire, inviting readers to question, wonder, and awaken.

Oana Ileana Noorani’s legacy is not just one of literature but of courage—the courage to innovate, integrate, and inspire. Her poetry stands as a testament to the power of human creativity, proving that even in the face of complexity, art can find its way to the heart.

"The Fall of the Mask"

By: Oana Noorani

I would like to say that we are two complementary phenomena, sharing our love in a hidden rhythm of high cadence. Yet, in this intricate time, I want to show myself in love without you averting your gaze, just as I am—perhaps silent or sometimes effervescent. My beloved, tell me, have you ever swum when the ocean of the soul becomes austere—restless? When the clock struck the exact hour, did you open your heart to receive my intense love? Please, listen to your inner Tick-Tock and see how, deep in the chamber of emotions, I have placed a truth beyond the spirit, one that powerfully reflects in the manifestations of passion.

I imagine you in a famous, romantic comedy with a slight touch of tragedy, yet I cannot understand—who are you? A secondary actor or the lead, ready to claim the much-desired Oscar? Though you know it all too well, I am the director who has staged this play, and now I ask you to listen and cast far away, into the shadows, your fortified mask. Wouldn’t you rather reveal yourself as you truly are? Don’t you think you have wrapped yourself in layers of garments this winter? Here and there! And I could swear that your well-pressed clothes, without a single stain, have begun to seep into every pore of your skin—deep into the most intrinsic parts of you.

In my sister’s writing on love and its value, we can find a pure wisdom:

"True love never ends, no matter how easy or difficult the road may be, and we will awaken again and again in different dimensions, loving with the same intensity and the same mad desire, for without love, nothing has meaning or direction."

Oh yes, I want to ask you as directly as possible: What does the meaning of existence and the direction of fulfillment mean to you? And among all these questions and exclamations, are you convinced, or do you only believe that you love me? Because conviction is one thing, and belief is another, because the mind is one thing, and the heart is another! I would like you to amuse yourself a little or perhaps even laugh out loud. Have you ever seen a barrel in which cabbage is vigorously stirred in autumn, when housewives prepare it for pickling? Well, what did you notice? Didn’t you observe a repetitive rhythm, a fairly steady one? Now do you understand? You, Prince Charming, who weaves these doubtful tales! Love must be given momentum and wings so that it may soar to the heights, and above all, you must learn to bestow upon it a value that transcends from the earthly to the ethereal.

My beloved, have you ever seen a Jedi and a Samurai? One is the future, the other the past, and even if it may seem absurd, neither of these two foundations will be left behind, for the future encompasses the past, and the past advances with the future in the same or another form. Though abstract, time exists within us—within the two who came before and will come after, beautiful and unmasked, especially in their naked truth. Speaking otherwise, I hope we do not become martyrs but rather heroes in an altar of life, where the sun rises after torrential rains and where harmony is adorned with the beauty of divinity. My sister also wrote about love and sharing in the spirit of offering: "Love means eternity and is the most precious and valuable gift given by divinity."

And it reminded me of Dostoevsky, who also wrote in The Idiot: "Beauty will save the world." To which I would add: "Where love is the heart’s gift, and divinity, the mind’s beauty."

Ha, ha, ha, it seems that we laugh, and we love, and what greater fulfillment could we have than to reflect our essence with candor? Perhaps I have laughed, and within my laughter, I hide a slight irony, born of disappointment in this world that has turned upside down and seems to have lost its way. And when all the dusks are bathed in purple sunlight, we must remember to walk forward without gloves and without soiled shoes, to keep the Earth transparent, and where the mud seems impure, we must make it shine in the unseen. Pure Heaven – Pure Earth!

My beloved, and if we were both to be lost, with no masks upon our faces, somewhere between lucidity and madness, may love alone be our guide:

"Upon a path adorned with flowers,

As if inspired by a fairytale."
