"A LIFE IS"
By: Ashok Chakravarthy Tholana
In the life’s game
Whom to blame,
Whom to tame,
No change is same,
It’s all but in the game.
Yes, empty handed
We all have descended,
Like footprints in the sand,
We leave with empty hand,
Is it not real; how it sounds?
Bounded by destiny
Grounded by tyranny,
Midst the clutches of money,
Age shortens the journey,
Life looks totally thorny.
After the painful thorny paths
Welcome the flowery paths,
Joys and pains are common,
Failure and success are common,
Yes, a life is always uncertain.

"AS A WRITER"
By: Ashok Chakravarthy Tholana
Mind weaves thoughtful words carefully
To compose ever-new verses poetically;
Yes, the beautiful nature entices me often,
And bestows ever-new spirit to my pen,
To jot something beneficial for humans.
The supremacy instinct incites destruction,
To achieve this; it unfolds evil actions,
To meet selfish goals, it even stirs a war,
And, mercilessly it creates death and fear;
To douse the flames, soothing verses pour.
Starvations and the displaced situations
Painful sufferings and mass destruction;
Harmonious thoughts flood me very often,
Mercy filled emotions stir me very often,
I fume, is there no way for peaceful actions.
The regional and racial vengeful feelings,
I try to douse with harmonious musings;
The attitude of violence and devastation,
Keeps on rising with ferocious intention,
Yet, as a writer I do my best with my pen.

"A LYRICAL FANTASY"
By: Ashok Chakravarthy Tholana
The enchanting winter
Tune my heart's guitar,
I wander here and there,
Serenity echoes everywhere.
Slipping, sliding and falling,
Giving a symphonic feeling,
Snowflakes keep mesmerizing,
With a delight-filled timing.
All through the day and night,
In the cold winter, what a sight,
Warmth inside with icy chill out,
Like a lyrical fantasy, it steams out.
Something memorable to cherish,
An eye-pleasing feast to relish,
Like a tuneful pleasantness in lavish,
I feel elated leaving behind life's anguish.
