Obra Maestra - Today's Brilliant Contemporary and Modern Artist for Literature: Madame Hela Jenayah Tekali

In the golden heart of Tunisia, where history whispers through the labyrinthine alleys and the gentle rustle of olive trees harmonizes with the Mediterranean breeze, one soul has consistently woven threads of spirituality, mysticism, and profound artistic insight into the fabric of literary excellence—Hela Jenayah Tekali. Her name resonates among the ranks of literary icons, celebrated not merely for her prolific writings but for the transformative emotional journeys she embarks upon through her words.

Born in a land steeped in cultural heritage, Hela embodies the depth and richness of Tunisian tradition while casting her gaze toward universal truths. Her upbringing in this enchanting realm nurtured an inquisitive mind and a soul inclined to search for meaning beyond the visible. Over time, Hela grew into an author whose literary works explore the boundless terrains of mysticism, illuminating paths to spiritual awakening for her readers.

Her career took root in academia, serving as an English teacher at Tunisia's esteemed Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. Through her role as an educator, Hela exemplifies a tireless commitment to empowering minds and igniting imaginations, bridging worlds of knowledge, culture, and artistic exploration. Her classrooms became arenas where intellectual thought danced gracefully with the ethereal, inspiring her students to delve deeply into literature and its transcendent power to connect humanity.

But Hela’s true calling lies beyond the confines of textbooks; it resides in the uncharted realms of poetry and prose, where she finds the freedom to express the nuances of her soul. As a poet and novelist, Hela Jenayah Tekali has authored twelve books on Sufism and spirituality, marking her as a torchbearer for mysticism's eternal flame. Her works, including *Halos of Light* (2015), *The Quest of Love* (2017), and *The Soaring of My Soul* (2018), showcase an eloquent interplay of language and emotion. Her poetry serves as a mirror reflecting the divine mysteries embedded in everyday life—a gentle reminder that beauty can be found even in struggle.

Each of her books invites readers to embark on transformative journeys, discovering truths that transcend ordinary existence. The themes of Hela’s works touch upon longing, divine connection, and the metamorphosis of the self, making her voice uniquely resonant with those seeking solace and inspiration amid life's complexities. Her critiques, such as *Metaphysics: A Mirror to Mysticism* (2019), delve deeper into the philosophical dimensions underpinning her literary creations.

Hela's creativity knows no bounds. Her collaborative ventures, including co-authoring *Eternal Showers*, a book celebrating Indo-North African poetry, exemplify her dedication to fostering global cultural unity. Her contributions to anthologies like *Rain Drops of Love* and *Birds of Peace* further solidify her legacy as a bridge between diverse poetic traditions, blending North African mysticism with universal themes of hope and harmony.

For her immense contributions, Hela Jenayah Tekali has garnered numerous accolades. Being honored as the "Most Outstanding Mystical Poet" by the Philosophique Poetica Forum and receiving the prestigious title "Ambassador of Literature" from Motivational Strips are testaments to her profound impact on the literary community. Beyond these recognitions, she has received global acclaim, earning the title "World Icon of Literature 2018" from Kazakhstan—a fitting tribute to an artist who bridges worlds and unites souls through her craft.

As an editor and novelist, Hela continues to redefine boundaries. She managed international anthologies such as *Mystical Voices* (2021) and *Ethical Poetry* (2023), curating powerful works that echo the universal longing for peace, love, and enlightenment. Her novels, including *Invisible Grace* (2021) and *The Quest of Sublime Hope* (2024), showcase her skill at weaving stories that transcend cultural and spiritual barriers, presenting narratives rooted in her mystical vision.

Hela’s translation work further highlights her versatility and dedication to spreading literary beauty across languages. Her French translation of *Poetry Cocktail* by Dr. Jernail Singh Anand stands as a testament to her belief that art transcends linguistic and cultural confines.

In addition to her published works, Hela has recently ventured into drama, drafting a play that she plans to unveil soon. Her ceaseless exploration of artistic forms embodies her unwavering commitment to creativity and her desire to touch the hearts of audiences worldwide.

Hela Jenayah Tekali is more than a poet, writer, or educator; she is an architect of spiritual journeys, a voice of mysticism that reverberates across continents, and a beacon of light for those seeking meaning amidst chaos. Her work transcends the boundaries of time and space, drawing on ancient wisdom while speaking directly to the modern soul.

As she continues crafting her third novel and delving into the mysteries of life and love, Hela remains a profound inspiration for dreamers, seekers, and believers. Through her art, she reminds us that the quest for the sublime is not merely a solitary journey—it is one that connects us all, whispering softly that, in the vast tapestry of existence, we are never truly alone.

"In Awe and Confusion"

By: Hela Jenayah Tekali

I am in love—with a shadow, a specter, a dream,

Lost in an image, a fiction unseen.

Is it a cloud or a fleeting rainbow?

Meant to blur me—or make me glow?

Is it a storm, or the warmth of the sun?

Is it roaring, or softly begun?

I stand in awe, caught in confusion,

A dreamer adrift in a waking illusion.

I am a bird, ensnared in the air,

A pearl in an oyster—trapped yet rare.

Am I meant to fall or destined to rise?

To shine in the light or fade from the skies?

Still, I stand in awe and confusion—

Is it love, or a fleeting fantasy?

A prose that lingers or whispered poetry?

Is it life or the whisper of death?

A burial deep or a soul’s new breath?

A flower in bloom or a thorn in disguise?

A halo of light or the devil’s guise?

Is it me—myself, my I—

My ego, my ruin, the self I deny?

Still, I stand in awe and confusion,

With questions that stir the depths of my soul,

And answers that make me whole.
