Obra Maestra - Today's Brilliant Contemporary and Modern Artist for Literature: Dr Zainul Husain
It's my absolute pleasure to feature on my weblog, someone who has been an inspiring presence in the literary world for many years and also my dear friend – Dr. Zainul Husain. Hailing from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Husain is an exceptional English language teacher who holds master's degrees in both English Literature and Philosophy. But that's just the beginning of his story.
Dr. Husain is a passionate poet whose heartfelt words have touched people across the globe. His poetry has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Gujrat Sahitya Academy Award, the Global Pen Award from Syria, and the Golden Feather Award, also from Syria. His poetry collection, *Spring of Love*, published in 2023, is a testament to his talent and dedication to the art of poetry.
In addition to his solo works, Dr. Husain has contributed to various national and international anthologies such as *Just For You*, *Cosmic Poetry*, *Chauceberries Garden*, *Modern Writers*, and *Hyperpoem*, a project that made it into the Guinness World Records. His remarkable contributions to literature and humanity have also earned him honorary doctorates.

His obra maestra, a poem entitled " The Sufi Of Night" is inspired by nature. Nature has always been Dr Zainul Husain's greatest source of inspiration in writing his literary works.
"Nature is a source of a number of blessings and energy. It is like a sage. I was deeply inspired to write this poem after feeling a great similarity between the behavior of a sufi and night. As long as they are raptured in their meditation, there is darkness. After their worship is complete both are enlightened releasing healing energy and light." - Dr Zainul Husain.
